  This black midi dress is an absolute gem! It's the perfect summer companion, and I seriously can't wait to twirl in it under the sun. The fabric is nice and breathable. It clings where you want it to and flows where you want it to, a very flattering fit. The adjustable straps and good-sized pockets are a huge bonus! I think my favorite thing about this particular dress is how versatile it is. You could easily dress this up with some nice jewelry, a cardigan, and high heels or just casually stroll along the beach in your bare feet. It has an effortlessly elegant feel. It's seriously flattering and very comfortable. This is a great summer find! I absolutely adore it already!

  This dress is okay. I've ordered many items from Dokotoo and they almost always fit me perfectly and I end up loving them, but this dress doesn't quite fit their usual standard.Pros: beautiful coral color (definitely closer to coral than orange). I like the pockets, you can actually put things in them and they stay there! The fabric is thicker so absolutely not see-through, has a bit of stretch to it, soft and comfy! Adjustable straps.Cons: I see now that the listing title says both Midi-dress and Maxi-dress. Kind of confusing. I thought i was ordering a maxi dress, and this one comes just below mid-calf on me, a 5'4'' woman, not my favorite length. The biggest problem with it is the top/front. It just isn't right. It is sewn really strange and not flattering at all. The gathers and elastic don't lay the way they do on the model in the photo.

  I got the XL and it does fit me. I am 5'4" and about 200 pounds. The only issue I have is how this size fits around my bust. It takes ALL the fabric in the gathered parts of the waist AND the fabric for the bust to fit around my bust. Which means this goes from a dress with a defined waist to a dress that is only high waisted. There is not enough fabric for a larger bust. So it ends up looking very different than the picture online. The larger size was not scaled up for larger cup sizes.I love the pockets. I love how soft the material is. And I love that it is mostly cotton. It is machine washable but says not to put it in the dryer.It is still a pretty good dress, even though it doesn't look that great on me. If you have a smaller bust or are a similar size as the model in the pictures this will probably look great on you. It is extremely comfortable regardless, with how soft the material is. It is sewn to have great stretch too. And all the seams are well sewn. So it will be a good dress for a lot of people. Just not for every body type.

  This cotton dress has just the right weight to the fabric. It’s light enough to breathe and will be great in hot weather, but thick enough not to be see-through or to require shapewear to be worn underneath. The bodice is super stretchy and can fit a range of shapes and sizes which is great because I’m on a mission to lose a few pounds. Because of the stretch in the bodice, little weight is required to be held up by the straps. It’s a cute casual style, or it can be dressed up and paired with a light sweater for work. I’m giving a thumbs up too for the pockets!

  My wife loved this dress. She is 5'8", 115 lbs, and wears size 4. I ordered the dress in size small. It fit perfectly.My wife has wide shoulders and said she usually doesn't like these sort of skinny straps because they can look too close together, but when she put this on, it looked great. Plus she also tends to wear a dress like this with a cardigan, shrug or bolero so it worked fine.The material is a very soft cotton that is somewhat thick, yet very flowy. The pockets are deep. The length is long enough for her - it's lower mid calf on her, not maxi.And I think it looks great! It's simple and sexy in a classy way.

  I’m still on the fence about this dress. The color and material is as described. Comfy t-shirt material and I love the pockets.I don’t think it’s very flattering on me. I could not get the rouching under the bust to lay flat so it added another bump. The straps are in a weird spot. I might just cut them off or wear a jacket over.I give it 4 stars because it is a nice dress and comfy … just not sure it’s a good look on me.
